Keeping Busy at Bag-End: Bingo Bolger-Baggins
I'm so pleased with my new poster "Dark Lords of Middle-earth" that came in the mail today--it couldn't have come at a better time. I put it up on the wall in my room. And I also got a lovely 8X10 glossy of Sauron sitting at his writing desk with Elia on his shoulder--it's even signed (in blood, of course). Very, very hot!
I've framed it already.
I did toss that awful pine cone--it's a fine shape, but not of much use, really, unless you like it that way, which I don't. And I got rid of those hideous portraits over the mantle. I've put up a lovely group portrait by Ann Larimer in their place--very fetching and compliments the decor quite well. I'm holding off on the purple drapes though--Frodo seemed underwhelmed by the idea. I don't want him or Sam to be disappointed by the changes. I hope the air of the Blessed Realm gives Sam some solace.
Keeping busy is the way to not be sad, and I feel a bit energetic since Trotter fixed my ankle up. I wonder what Ham is up to? I feel odd in this big smial all by myself-- and it makes me think of Bilbo too, and that's too painful to think about
. I think I'll sleep in the shed tonight.
