So much has been going on even before coming home to the Pantry Smial! Did I mention the long chats Uncle Sennie and I have been having about family and lost loves?
Or how about meeting
Lai--who isn't the hobbitphobe I had feared he'd be--and then going to see the play
he and the other elves performed? It was quite fascinating, at least we thought so.
And I could go on and on about my homecoming present
and the party,
but I think I'll leave that for another entry. Right now, I'm looking out the sitting room window of Back End at the lovely cherry tree
me. The Sam-Elly Tree. The tree that blooms twice in the spring. Yes, twice
. It bloomed a few weeks ago, and it's blooming again now. I suppose the first bloom is for Samwise. The second for Elanorelle. A special tree, isn't it? I'm just waiting now for the Elf-flower herself to come by so we can take tea under its branches . . . one more time . . .she and I. Current Mood: bittersweet
